News(Phnom Penh): On the afternoon of Monday, 2 February 2026, at the Ministry of Commerce, Her Excellency CHAM Nimul, Minister of Commerce and Chair of the Inter-Ministerial Committee, presided over inter-ministerial committee with the participation of His Excellencies, the Vice-Chairman and members of the inter-ministerial committee, representatives of the Cambodian Cashew Federation, and representatives of provincial governors via video conference. The meeting was organized with the aim to review and approve the draft mid-term evaluation report of the implementation of the National Cashew Policy 2022-2027 and discussing to find mechanisms to promote the implementation of this national policy more effectively. As a result, Her Excellency Minister appreciated the results of monitoring and evaluating the implementation of this national policy and the cooperation from inter-ministerial, relevant institutions, the private sector and development partners in the cashew sector, and noted the outstanding achievements of the implementation of the national policy over the past two and a half years. In addition, the committee reviewed and discussed the challenges in this sector and sought appropriate solutions to increase the effectiveness of the implementation of this national policy and promote the development of the Cambodian cashew sector.

The forum aims to raise awareness, promote regulatory compliance, and implement Consumer Protection Law to combat illicit trade and counterfeit products to ensure transparency and fair competition.
