(Phnom Penh): On the afternoon of Wednesday, 4 March 2026, during the Cambodia-ASEAN Business Summit 2026, Her Excellency CHAM Nimul, Minister of Commerce, received a courtesy call from His Excellency Dr. KAO Kim Hourn, Secretary General of ASEAN, and delegation for a working discussion. During the meeting, both sides discussed several agenda items, including: (1) Priority Economic Deliverables under the Philippines’ ASEAN Chairship in 2026; (2) the geo economic situation; (3) progress of negotiations on the ASEAN Digital Economy Framework Agreement; (4) support for the private sector to maximize benefits from various free trade agreements of which ASEAN is a party; and (5) preparations for the 32nd ASEAN Economic Ministers’ Retreat.

(Phnom Penh): On the afternoon of Wednesday, 4 March 2026, Her Excellency CHAM Nimul, Minister of Commerce, participated as a speaker in a panel discussion on regional integration under the theme “Growth Beyond Borders: Strengthening Regional Supply Chains and Tourism,” held during the ASEAN–Cambodia Business Summit 2026. The discussion was moderated by Ms. Deborah Henry and featured distinguished speakers, including His Excellency SUN Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), as well as representatives from the private sector, namely Denso International Asia Co., Ltd.; Maybank; and AirAsia (Malaysia). The panel discussion explored the impact of current geopolitical tensions on the manufacturing sector, while also examining opportunities for Cambodia to position itself as a key connector within a unified ASEAN production base.

(Phnom Penh): On the morning of Wednesday, 4 March 2026, Her Excellency CHAM Nimul, Minister of Commerce, received a courtesy call from a delegation of the EU-ASEAN Business Council and the European Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia, led by Ms. Sharon Toh, President for the ASEAN Region of the EU-ASEAN Business Council, to discuss trade-related matters. During the open and constructive dialogue between the government and the private sector, the two sides discussed a range of topics, including trade facilitation; digital transformation; supply chain connectivity and value chain integration; market diversification through free trade agreement negotiations; trade policies toward 2030 and Cambodia’s graduation from Least Developed Country (LDC) status.
