News(Phnom Penh): On the afternoon of Thursday, 30 April 2026, at the Ministry of Commerce, Her Excellency CHAM Nimul, Minister of Commerce, chaired a meeting to review the updated Cambodia’s National Readiness Assessment on Cross-Border Paperless Trade. The meeting was attended by senior leadership of the Ministry of Commerce, UNESCAP experts, and relevant technical officials. The readiness assessment is highly significant as it demonstrates Cambodia’s preparedness in legal, technical, and institutional aspects for the ratification and implementation of the Framework Agreement on Facilitation of Cross-Border Paperless Trade in Asia and the Pacific (CPTA), which Cambodia signed on 29 August 2017. The assessment serves as a strategic foundation to define directions and action plans for advancing digital trade facilitation and modernizing Cambodia’s national trade system.
News(Phnom Penh): On the afternoon of Thursday, April 30, 2026, at the Ministry of Commerce, Her Excellency CHAM Nimul, Minister of Commerce, received a courtesy call from His Excellency Steven Pang Chee Wee, Ambassador-Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Singapore to the Kingdom of Cambodia, following his recent appointment. During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on opportunities to further promote trade and investment, and reaffirmed their shared commitment to enhancing and deepening bilateral cooperation between Cambodia and Singapore.
News(Phnom Penh): On the morning of Wednesday, 29 April 2026, at the Ministry of Commerce, His Excellency RATH Saravuth, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Commerce, had a courtesy meeting with His Excellency Mario José Armengol Campos, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Nicaragua to the Kingdom of Cambodia, with residence in Hanoi. During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on enhancing bilateral trade relations and explored mechanisms to strengthen cooperation in this area, taking into consideration the economic complementarities between the two countries. Both sides also discussed the possibility of connecting the respective chambers of commerce to facilitate the organization of a future business forum and business matching activities.
