News(Paris, France): On the morning of Saturday, 17 October 2026, at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center in Paris, French Republic, His Excellency SAMHENG Bora, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Commerce and Head of the Export Promotion Task Force, High Representative of Her Excellency CHAM Nimul, Minister of Commerce, presided over the official inauguration ceremony of the "Cambodia Pavilion" at the SIAL PARIS 2026 International Food Exhibition. The ceremony was attended by His Excellency KY Chanromduol, Undersecretary of State of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries; His Excellency Dr. KAO Thach, Delegate of the Royal Government of Cambodia in charge as Chief Executive Officer of the Rural Development and Agriculture Bank (ARDB); Mrs. Lam Pachapor, Minister Counsellor of the Royal Embassy of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the French Republic; and Mr. TILL Ahnert, Project Director of EU-German GATE (GIZ Cambodia); as well as distinguished guests, representatives of Cambodian enterprises, and numerous international trade partners. The Cambodia Pavilion was organized by the Ministry of Commerce with joint support from the European Union and the Federal Government of Germany. The initiative aims to promote exports and enhance Cambodia’s competitive edge as a reliable supply partner in international markets. Situated in Hall 7 (Stand J-347), the Pavilion brings together 16 export-ready Cambodian enterprises showcasing high-potential goods—including cashew nuts, dried tropical fruits such as dried mango, pepper, spices, and ready-to-cook culinary products. Furthermore, the Ministry of Commerce invited international buyers, distributors, and investors to visit the pavilion, explore the potential of Cambodian products, and discuss new business cooperation opportunities firsthand. In his remarks, His Excellency Secretary of State highlighted that under the theme "Cambodia: Basket of Wonders," the Cambodia Pavilion showcases high-quality agro-processed products that meet international standards through modern processing technologies, full traceability, and sustainable production. His Excellency further emphasized that Cambodia’s goal extends beyond increasing export volumes to enhancing domestic value addition by connecting Cambodian farmers, producers, and entrepreneurs directly to international markets and global value chains. SIAL Paris 2026 takes place from 17 to 21 October 2026 as one of the world’s premier food and beverage trade exhibitions, drawing approximately 7,500 exhibitors and more than 285,000 trade professionals.

News(Phnom Penh): On the morning of Friday, 16 October 2026, at the Ministry of Commerce, His Excellency Lim Lork Piseth, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Commerce, held a virtual meeting with His Excellency Mario José Armengol Campos, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Nicaragua to the Kingdom of Cambodia, to further strengthen bilateral trade and economic relations and deepen cooperation between the two countries. During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their shared desire to expand bilateral trade and economic relations, recognizing the considerable untapped potential, particularly the complementary nature of both economies, which presents new opportunities for trade, investment, and stronger private-sector engagement. Both sides also reviewed and discussed the draft Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Trade and Economic Cooperation between Cambodia and Nicaragua, covering a broad range of priority areas, including trade and investment promotion, industry and manufacturing, special economic zones, in trade facilitation, agriculture and agro-processing, tourism, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), digital economy, as well as cooperation between the chambers of commerce and trade promotion institutions of both countries.
