News(Phnom Penh): On the morning of Wednesday, 29 April 2026, at the Ministry of Commerce, Her Excellency CHAM Nimul, Minister of Commerce, chaired a meeting to review the progress of preparations for Cambodia’s participation in the 27th ASEAN Economic Community Council Meeting, which is scheduled to be held on 7th May 2026 in Cebu, the Philippines. The meeting was convened to review the relevant documents and progress of work related to ASEAN economic integration, as well as the 2026 ASEAN Priority Economic Deliverables under the Philippines’ ASEAN Chairmanship 2026, including preparations for bilateral meetings.

News(Jakarta, Indonesia): On 21–24 April 2026, His Excellency LONG Kemvichet, Director-General of the General Directorate of International Trade and Trade Negotiating Committee Lead for Cambodia, led the Cambodian delegation to attend the 18th Meeting of the ASEAN–Canada Free Trade Agreement (ACAFTA) negotiations in Jakarta, Indonesia. The meeting was convened to review and monitor the progress of the working groups, discuss and resolve outstanding deadlocks, review the Work Plan for 2026, and prepare for the next meeting, as well as to provide overall guidance toward bringing the ACAFTA negotiations to a conclusion by 2026.
News(Phnom Penh): On the afternoon of Monday, 27 April 2026, at the Ministry of Commerce, His Excellency LIM Lork Piseth, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Commerce, received a courtesy call from His Excellency Shi Zhongjun, Secretary-General of the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC). The meeting focused on further strengthening the strategic cooperation between the Ministry and the ACC. During the discussion, His Excellency Shi Zhongjun highlighted the robust relations between the two institutions and briefed the Ministry on major trade events scheduled for 2026. These include the ASEAN-China Innovative Economic Forum, ASEAN-China Week, and the ASEAN-China (Henan) Food and Agriculture Conference, alongside a Culture & Food Festival. These platforms are designed to showcase high-potential ASEAN products to the Chinese market by connecting leaders, exporters, and international firms through exhibitions and business matching.The Secretary-General formally invited the Ministry’s leadership and the Cambodian private sector to participate in these upcoming events. In response, His Excellency Secretary of State commended the ACC for its ongoing support and emphasized that the Ministry of Commerce remains committed to promoting Cambodian products and facilitating private sector participation in international trade fairs. His Excellency Secretary of State expressed his optimism that these events would allow Cambodian exporters to engage with key partners and gain deeper insights into global supply chains and market dynamics.
News(Phnom Penh): On the morning of Tuesday, 28 April 2026, at the Ministry of Commerce, His Excellency KEM Sithan, Permanent Secretary of State of the Ministry of Commerce, high representative of Her Excellency CHAM Nimul, Minister of Commerce, received a courtesy call from His Excellency Faiyaz Murshid Kazi, Ambassador to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. During the meeting, both sides discussed and exchanged views on promoting trade and strengthening bilateral cooperation and encouraged the organization of the 1st Joint Trade Council Meeting in the near future.
