(Hong Kong, China): On Monday, 26 January 2026, His Excellency LIM Lork Piseth, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Commerce, participated in the Asian Financial Forum 2026, which was presided over by His Excellency John K.C. Lee, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China. The forum included senior government officials from around the world, leaders of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, businessmen, experts, and major international financial institutions, with approximately 4,000 attendees from 60 countries. The forum, held from 26–27 January 2026, had the objective of promoting cooperation and integration in the fields of finance, economics, and international trade. The discussion panels focused on the global economy, international trade, the financial sector, and recent developments in international geopolitics. During the forum, His Excellency Secretary of State also had a working lunch with His Excellency Paul Chan, Financial Secretary of Hong Kong S.A.R, Dr. Peter Lam, Chairman of the Hong Kong Tourism Board and former Chairman of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, and His Excellency Christopher Hui, Secretary of Financial Service and Treasury of Hong Kong S.A.R., to further strengthen relations and promote mutual trade cooperation between Cambodia and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

(Bohol, Philippines): On 21-23 January 2026, in Bohol, Philippines, His Excellency LONG Kemvichet, Director General of the General Directorate of International Trade and ASEAN Senior Economic Official Lead for Cambodia, led the Cambodian delegation to attend the 1st ASEAN Senior Economic Officials’ Meeting (SEOM1/57). The meeting was convened under the 2026 ASEAN Chairmanship of the Philippines to review work progress and discuss key agenda items on ASEAN economic integration. These included the Priority Economic Deliverables under the Philippines’ ASEAN Chairmanship and the annual priorities for 2026, progress in ASEAN economic integration, updates on the signing and ratification status of relevant ASEAN economic agreements, progress in various trade agreement negotiations, reports from relevant sectoral bodies, and other related matters. On this occasion, His Excellency the Director General, in his capacity as CLMV SEOM Lead for Cambodia, also attended the 30th Cambodia-Laos-Myanmar-Viet Nam (CLMV) Senior Economic Officials’ Meeting. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Viet Nam to review and discuss progress in implementing the CLMV Action Plan 2025 to 2026, the framework for CLMV development.

(Atsugi, Japan): On the afternoon of Thursday, 22 January 2025, Mr. SIN Saray, Commercial Attaché to Cambodian Embassy in Japan, accompanied His Excellency CHUM Sounry, Ambassador-Designate of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Japan, to meet and discuss with Mr. KOJIMA Masanobu, Chairman of KOJIMA Holdings Co., Ltd., and Ms. Machiko Kosugi, Head of Cambodia Private Commercial Center (CPCC), in Atsugi City, Kanagawa Prefecture. During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on strengthening existing work activities related to trade promotion, housing development, vocational training and cultural exchange between Cambodia and Japan after Kojima Holdings opened KOJIMAGUMI Cambodia Co., Ltd. in Cambodia in 2013 and opened the Cambodia Private Commercial Center (CPCC) in 2022 in Atsugi City, Kanagawa Prefecture. The two sides also reaffirmed their cooperation and mutual support in further expanding cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, construction, agriculture, research projects, as well as training and accepting Cambodian engineers to work in Japan. On that occasion, Mr. Attaché also met with Ms. Machiko Kosugi, Head of Cambodia Private Commercial Center, to discuss the CPCC's progress, the organizing of monthly business seminars, the promoting of Cambodian products, and planning a business matching program with the coordination and guidance of a group of Japanese investors to Cambodia in 2026.

(Paris, France): On the morning of Friday, 23 January 2026, in Paris, French Republic, Her Excellency CHAM Nimul, Minister of Commerce, held a working meeting with Mr. François Corbin, Vice President of MEDEF International, along with representatives of 6 leading French companies, with the aim of presenting Cambodia’s trade and investment potential. On that occasion, the representatives of the French companies shared their vision for expanding their commercial operations in Cambodia and expressed their interest in gaining further understanding of the current status of commercial laws and regulations. They also noted Cambodia’s commendable progress and development. In response, Her Excellency Minister briefed the meeting on the Royal Government of Cambodia’s strenuous efforts to develop all sectors and highlighted the Ministry of Commerce’s readiness for trade facilitation.
