News(Phnom Penh): On the afternoon of Friday, 3 April 2026, His Excellency LONG Kemvichet, Director General of the General Directorate of International Trade, Ministry of Commerce of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and His Excellency Sayana Sayyakone, Director General of the Department of Trade Negotiation and Economic Cooperation, Ministry of Industry and Commerce of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, co-chaired the Senior Officials’ Meeting of the 3rd Joint Trade Committee (JTC), held virtually. On that occasion, both sides discussed priority areas for cooperation and joint implementation, which will be submitted to the ministerial level for further review and guidance.

TEKRETH Kamrang, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Commerce, presided over the opening ceremony of the training workshop on “Responsible Business Practices in International and Domestic Trade.” The workshop was attended by representatives from inter-ministerial institutions, relevant government bodies, development partners, and the private sector. This training workshop are being organized through a collaboration between the Ministry of Commerce, UNDP Cambodia, and the Government of Japan, and will take place over two days, with the aims to strengthen the capacity of civil servants, private sector actors, and relevant partners in the trade ecosystem by deepening the understanding and mainstreaming of Responsible Business Practices (RBP) to enhance Cambodia’s trade standards in alignment with the global context.
News(Phnom Penh): On the afternoon of Wednesday, 1 April 2026, at the Ministry of Commerce, His Excellency OUM Kosal, Undersecretary of State of the Ministry of Commerce, had a discussion meeting with Mr. Tristan Metcalfe, Public Sector Specialist, to discuss the collaboration and technical support of the Asian Development Bank within the framework of the Regulatory Impact Assessment project (RIA), with the participation of technical officers from the Department of International Relations and Cooperation and the Department of Legal Affairs. Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA) is a system and methodology that helps officials who draft laws and regulations make decisions and assess the impact of regulations.
