News(Manila, Philippines): On the afternoon of Sunday, 20 September 2026, Her Excellency CHAM Nimul, Minister of Commerce and ASEAN Economic Minister (AEM) for Cambodia, led Cambodia’s delegation to attend the 23rd ASEAN Economic Ministers and Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan (METI) Consultation. The meeting was convened to review progress on the implementation of the ASEAN-Japan Comprehensive Economic Partnership (AJCEP) Agreement, as well as priority action plans aimed at further promoting and strengthening ASEAN-Japan economic cooperation.

The meeting was convened to review progress on the implementation of projects under ASEAN-Korea economic cooperation, as well as progress in the negotiations to upgrade the ASEAN-Korea Free Trade Area Agreement, and to provide recommendations on how the upgraded agreement can better respond to regional and global economic trends.
