News(Phnom Penh): On the morning of Thursday, 20 August 2026, at the Ministry of Commerce, Her Excellency CHAM Nimul, Minister of Commerce, chaired a meeting to review and discuss progress on initiatives aimed at promoting private sector development. The meeting was convened to review the ongoing progress and provide strategic guidance and recommendation on the establishment of necessary support mechanisms for the private sector, with the aim of further strengthening the business environment and developing the business ecosystem and culture in Cambodia to enhance competitiveness, integrity, and accountability.

News(Phnom Penh): On the morning of Thursday, 20 August 2026, at the Ministry of Commerce, His Excellency KEM Sithan, Permanent Secretary of State of the Ministry of Commerce and High Representative of Her Excellency CHAM Nimul, Minister of Commerce, chaired the weekly meeting attended by the Ministry's leaders, including the Secretary of State, Undersecretary of State, Secretary General, Director General, Directors of Departments, Directors of Provincial Departments, and other officials. The weekly meeting was held at the Ministry of Commerce and via video conference, covering the following agenda: 1. Brief Report on the results of establishing a working group responsible for compiling and consolidating commercial reports and statistics, as well as the progress in identifying and defining professional trade positions and managerial positions within the Ministry of Commerce. 2. Brief Report on the results of the Directorate-General of Consumer Protection and Competition. 3. Brief Report on the results of the Department of Consumer Protection. 4. Brief Report on the results of the Trade Attachés to the Embassies/Missions of the Kingdom of Cambodia in Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Austria, and the European Union. 5. Brief Report on the results of the Department of Commerce and the C.C.F. Branch of Kampong Speu Province. 6. Comments and input from the MOC's leaders in charge of respective departments and provincial departments of commerce, as well as other interventions.
