News(New Delhi, India): On the morning of Wednesday, 15 July 2026, in New Delhi, India, His Excellency SOMHENG Bora, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Commerce, led a Cambodian Delegation to a discussion meeting with Mr. Suvidh Shah, Additional Director General of the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO), alongside Mr. Rahul Singh, Assistant Director, FIEO, and Mr. Abhishek Lall, Under Secretary, Ministry of Textiles of India at FIEO’s headquarters in New Delhi. The meeting aimed to explore new opportunities for enhancing bilateral trade and economic cooperation. The Ministry of Commerce and FIEO agreed to work toward amending and finalizing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Commerce of Cambodia and FIEO, preparing a joint action plan for the next 1–3 years with clearly defined collaborative activities and measurable outcomes, and promoting trade activities including virtual webinars, trade seminars, and business networking sessions.
News(Phnom Penh): On the morning of Tuesday, 14 July 2026, at the Ministry of Commerce, Her Excellency Chea Ratha, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Commerce, presided over the training on "Using Artificial Intelligence," co-organized by the Trade Training and Research Institute (TTRI) of the Ministry of Commerce and the Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology (CADT) of the Ministry of Post and Telecommunication. The course aimed to raise awareness among Ministry of Commerce officials regarding artificial intelligence (AI) and the application of AI technology in daily work, as well as to enhance their understanding of the policies, governance, and ethics related to the responsible use of AI. This training is both timely and highly relevant. Today, Artificial Intelligence is no longer a technology reserved solely for information technology specialists; rather, it has become a practical tool that government officials across all sectors can leverage to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of their work.
