News(Phnom Penh): On the afternoon of Tuesday, 31 March 2026, Her Excellency CHAM Nimul, Minister of Commerce, hosted a working lunch with His Excellency Bendito dos Santos Freitas, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste and his delegation. On that occasion, both sides exchanged views on opportunities to enhance bilateral trade and investment cooperation and reaffirmed commitments to supporting each other within regional and global frameworks.
News(Mondulkiri): On the morning of Friday, 27 March 2026, His Excellency KAO Kosal, Undersecretary of State of the Ministry of Commerce, and His Excellency SAN Darith, Deputy Governor of Mondulkiri Province, presided over the opening ceremony of a seminar on “Khmer Promotion Products.” The seminar was attended by the provincial administration, departments, relevant units, provincial chambers of commerce, companies, enterprises, communities, associations, producers, and traders in Mondulkiri Province. The purpose of this seminar is to promote and enhance Khmer Products to access both domestic and foreign markets, especially encouraging Khmer Producers to continue to strive to improve quality, safety, aesthetics, packaging, and brand building to strengthen product competitiveness in the market. In addition, to promote the use of Khmer Products, in line with the trend of increasing support for Khmer Products and showing love for National Products, the Ministry of Commerce launched "Made In Cambodia" on 14 February 2026.
News(Guangzhou): On the afternoon of Friday, 27 March 2026, at the office of the Consulate General in Guangzhou, People's Republic of China, Mr. LAO NGUON ENG, Commercial Attaché to Cambodia's Consulate General in Guangzhou, accompanied the Consul General of Cambodia in Guangzhou in receiving a courtesy call from representatives of Yangjiang's enterprises, led by Mr. Zheng Chaoqun, Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Yangjiang City Government, to discuss trade and investment in Cambodia. This meeting aimed to strengthen cooperation between Cambodia and Yangjiang and seek an in-depth understanding of the market and trade and investment policies of Cambodia, with their desire to engage in trade and investment there. Attending this meeting were representatives of Sunlife Enterprise (Yangjiang) Co., Ltd, Sabre Enterprise Limited, Yangjiang Yangdong District Boxin Trading Co., Ltd, and Guangdong Mingxuan Industrial Co. Ltd. These enterprises specialize in producing kitchenware, glass, and clean energy (Solar and Storage).
News(Dili, Timor-Leste): On 26-27 March 2026, at the Palm Springs Hotel, His Excellency Pich Rithi, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Commerce, participated as a panelist in the “High-Level Policy Dialogue on Timor-Leste in ASEAN: Advancing Development Goals through Regional Integration” that was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Timor-Leste, in coordination with the ASEAN Secretariat and the Asian Development Bank (ADB). This Dialogue was an event attended by representatives from relevant ministries and institutions of Timor-Leste's Government, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade Australia, research institutions, and the private sector. The Dialogue was designed to foster understanding on how Timor-Leste can benefit from its full membership in ASEAN and to develop national strategic plans, especially on economic diversification and strengthening the private sector. During the dialogue, His Excellency Secretary of State shared Cambodia’s experience in aligning Cambodia’s national policies with ASEAN Economic Agreements and ensuring their effective implementation. On that occasion, His Excellency Secretary of State also emphasized the importance of advancing the digital economy and promoting green supply chains, while recommending that Timor-Leste leverage its strategic location to generate greater national economic benefits.
