News(Belgrade, Serbia): On 10-12 March 2026, in Belgrade, Serbia, His Excellency NAM Lynal, Undersecretary of State of the Ministry of Commerce, led the Cambodian delegation to attend the 2nd International Planning Meeting (IPM) for the Specialized Expo 2027 Belgrade, presided over by His Excellency Siniša Mali, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the Republic of Serbia, and attended by H.E. Mrs. Jagoda Lazarević, Minister of Internal and Foreign Trade of Serbia and Commissioner of the Exhibition, Mr. Danilo Jerinic, Director of Expo 2027 Belgrade; Mr. Dimitri Kerkentzes, Secretary General of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE); and delegates from 137 countries. The purpose of the meeting was to continue providing updates on the preparations for Expo 2027 Belgrade, including detailed information on theme development, key dates, introductions to respective working groups, and presentations on infrastructure developments essential to supporting Expo 2027 Belgrade — such as public transportation, exhibition venues, accommodations for participants, and more. On that occasion, His Excellency Undersecretary of State also held a bilateral meeting with Her Excellency Jagoda Lazarević, Minister of Internal and Foreign Trade of Serbia, to discuss ways to further strengthen and expand bilateral cooperation in the field of commerce between the two countries and especially on the support for the participation of the Kingdom of Cambodia at the Expo 2027 Belgrade. It is also noted that the Specialized Expo 2027 Belgrade will take place over a period of three months, from May 15 to August 15, 2027, under the theme: "Play for Humanity – Sport and Music for All," in Belgrade, Serbia.
News(Phnom Penh): On the morning of Wednesday, 11 March 2026, at the Ministry of Commerce, His Excellency RATH Saravuth, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Commerce, led an inter-ministerial meeting to discuss on the initial draft Memorandum of Understanding on Trade and Economic Cooperation between the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Arab Republic of Egypt, with the aim of establishing a framework for the trade and economic cooperation between the two countries to further enhance bilateral trade, business and investment relations.
News(Manila, Philippines): On the afternoon of Thursday, 12 March 2026, at the Ascott Bonifacio Global City Manila, His Excellency Pich Rithi, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Commerce, delivered his keynote remarks at the launch of the report entitled “Advancing the Green Economy Transition in ASEAN”. The event was jointly organized by the Department of Trade and Industry of the Philippines and the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The event also had in attendance Her Excellency Maria Cristina Roque, Secretary of Trade and Industry of the Philippines, and Mr. Scott Morris, Vice President of the Asian Development Bank. In his keynote remarks, His Excellency Secretary of State emphasized the importance of the green economy in promoting sustainable development, fostering innovation, creating jobs, and strengthening resilience. His Excellency also expressed high appreciation to the Department of Trade and Industry of the Philippines and the Asian Development Bank for their efforts in conducting the research and producing this timely and significant report, particularly for its contribution to advancing the transition toward a green economy across ASEAN. His Excellency further highlighted the commitment of the Royal Government of Cambodia to promoting a green economy through the implementation of policies that support sustainable development. Before concluding, His Excellency encouraged stronger regional cooperation, knowledge sharing, and continued support from development partners to ensure that all ASEAN Member States can fully benefit from the green transition.
