(Phnom Penh): On the afternoon of Friday, 21 November 2025, at Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra Hotel, Her Excellency CHAM Nimul, Minister of Commerce, presided over the Closing Ceremony of the Pinnacle Entrepreneur Forum (PEF 2025), jointly organized by ASEAN Women Entrepreneurs Network (AWEN) and Cambodian Women Entrepreneurs Network (CamWEN). The forum attended by government senior officials, AWEN and CamWEN leaders, Oknhas, business leaders, and distinguished guests. To begin, Her Excellency Minister commended AWEN and CamWEN for their leadership, noting that their efforts strengthened Cambodia’s position as a regional hub for inclusive and forward-looking entrepreneurship. Her Excellency Minister emphasized that ASEAN’s competitiveness depends on the ability to innovate, embrace technology, and build partnerships that transcend borders. Highlighting women’s critical role, Her Excellency Minister added: “In Cambodia alone, MSMEs employ over 476,000 workers, including more than 140,000 women—demonstrating that women are not just participants in economic development but drivers of growth, pillars of communities, and architects of the region’s future.” Her Excellency Minister also noted that despite the obstacles women entrepreneurs face in accessing finance, markets, technology, and networks, the Royal Government of Cambodia remains committed to supporting them, while real transformation requires collaboration, courage, and above all, belief—in themselves, in the region, and in the limitless potential of entrepreneurs.” Concluding the forum, Her Excellency Minister affirmed: “PEF 2025 has shown the future of ASEAN entrepreneurship is bright—not because it is guaranteed, but because it is built with renewed purpose, united by a shared vision and strengthened by the partnerships forged today.”

(Phnom Penh): On the morning of Thursday, 20 November 2025, His Excellency LONG Kemvichet, Director-General of the General Department of International Trade and Cambodia’s Lead for the Trade Negotiating Committee of the ASEAN-Canada Free Trade Agreement (TNC Lead), met with Her Excellency Ambassador Ambra Dickie and the Canadian delegation at the Ministry of Commerce. During the meeting, the two sides discussed and exchanged views on overall trade and investment relations at both bilateral and regional levels, particularly in the context of the ongoing negotiations of the ASEAN-Canada Free Trade Agreement (ACAFTA). On this occasion, both sides underscored the importance of advancing the ACAFTA negotiations toward a substantial conclusion in line with the 2026 timeline. His Excellency the Director-General reaffirmed Cambodia’s unwavering support for the continued progress of the ACAFTA negotiations. In addition, the two sides also discussed a number of key potential areas of cooperation, including Trade, Food Security, E-commerce, Energy, Digitalization, and Artificial Intelligence, with a view to deepening collaboration in these areas and exploring further opportunities at both bilateral and regional levels.

This High-Level Dialogue serves as a platform to exchange views among senior government officials from ASEAN and Italy, prominent business leaders across key sectors, and renowned strategic advisors and experts with extensive experience.
