News(Phnom Penh): On the Thursday, 9 July 2026, at the Ministry of Commerce, His Excellency MAO Thora, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Commerce and Representative of Her Excellency CHAM Nimul, Minister of Commerce, chaired the weekly meeting attended by the Ministry's leaders, including the Secretary of State, Undersecretary of State, Secretary General, Director General, Directors of Departments, Directors of Provincial Departments, and other officials. The weekly meeting was held at the Ministry of Commerce and via video conference, covering the following agenda: 1. Brief report on the results of Cambodia’s participation in the International Economic Forum on Southeast Asia (Forum économique international sur l’Asie du Sud-Est) held in Paris, France. 2. Brief report on the work progress of the General Directorate of Trade Support Services. 3. Brief report on the work progress of the Department of Export-Import. 4. Brief report on the work progress of the Kandal Provincial Department of Commerce and the Kandal Provincial Consumer Protection and Competition (CCF) Branch. 5. Comments and input from the MOC's leaders in charge of respective departments and provincial departments of commerce, as well as other interventions.

News(Phnom Penh): On the afternoon of Monday, 6 July 2026, at the Ministry of Commerce, Her Excellency Tekreth Kamrang, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Commerce, received a courtesy call from His Excellency Obaid Saeed Obaid Bintaresh Aldhaheri, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to the Kingdom of Cambodia. During the meeting, Her Excellency Secretary of State briefed on Cambodia's progress in implementing the Cambodia–UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between Cambodia and UAE and proposed that both sides explore the possibility of convening the First Meeting of Joint Committee at a convenient time in the near future, to strengthen cooperation across all sectors between the two countries. The two sides also exchanged views and reaffirmed their commitment to continue working closely with the relevant institutions to expedite the conclusion of negotiations on the draft Memorandum of Understanding on the Establishment of the Joint Business Council between Cambodia and UAE, the draft Memorandum of Understanding on Enhancing Investment and Business Opportunities, and the draft Agreement for the Avoidance of Double Taxation (DTA) between the two countries.
