News(Geneva, Switzerland): On Tuesday, 21 October 2025, Her Excellency TEKRETH Kamrang, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Commerce, participated as a panelist in two parallel events organized by UNCTAD duringthe 16th session of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD 16), held at the United Nations Office in Geneva, Switzerland. The first parallel event, titled “Expanding Productive Capacities to Enhance Developing Countries’ Financial Sustainability,” aimed to identify practical measures to help vulnerable economies accelerate the development of productive capacities, thereby boosting export earnings and strengthening government revenue streams. The second parallel event, titled “Regionalism in a Time of Uncertainty,” explored how open regionalism can address current global trade challenges by promoting the predictability and stability necessary for sustainable economic growth.
