This discussion meeting was attended by the Department of International Cooperation, the Department of Legal Affairs, the Department of Export-Import, the Department of Notification and Legal Compliance, and the Department of Planning, Statistics, and Trade Information. This meeting has a detailed review of the preparation of the sub-decree, which is part of the technical assistance by ADB and relevant departments, such as issuing the draft Sub-Decree to enhance the implementation of the Law on Secured Transactions, and the draft Sub-Decree on (i) antidumping, (ii) subsidies and countervailing duties, and (iii) safeguards.

In his remarks, His Excellency Secretary of State highlighted about the good bilateral cooperation between Cambodia and India, in which the two sides have established trade mechanisms, including a joint trade working group to review and negotiate relevant work to promote bilateral trade growth, an ASEAN-India mechanism that will be upgraded to a more modern level, and also urged the Indian side to look at the Cambodian market as part of the ASEAN region and prepare to establish a negotiating team for a bilateral preferential trade agreement for the benefit of both countries. On the occasion of participating in the forum, His Excellency Secretary of State also gave a brief interview to the media about theeconomy and trade cooperation between the two countries and the interest of the Cambodian delegation in the outcome of the meeting.
