News(Yaoundé, Cameroon): On the afternoon of Wednesday, 25 March 2026, in Yaoundé, Cameroon, Her Excellency CHAM Nimul, Minister of Commerce and Head of Delegation for Cambodia, participated as a speaker in the Multi-Stakeholder Ministerial Event on “Scaling Up Investment Facilitation to Mobilize Investment”, hosted by the Republic of Korea. This Ministerial-level event was attended by WTO Members – both beneficiary and donor Members – as well as partner international organizations, multilateral and regional development and investment banks, and other key stakeholders. In the High-level Panel titled “The IFDA as a Catalyst for Investment Facilitation Reforms and Investment Mobilization”, Her Excellency Minister emphasized the importance of foreign direct investment for Cambodia’s economic development over the past two decades. Her Excellency Minister also highlighted challenges faced by LDCS in attracting global investment flows and called for strengthened investment facilitation, as well as the creation of a more predictable, transparent, efficient investment environment and re-globalization.
News(Yaoundé, Cameroon): On the afternoon of Wednesday, 25 March 2026, in Yaoundé, Cameroon, Her Excellency CHAM Nimul, Minister of Commerce and Head of Delegation for Cambodia, delivered welcome remarks at the High-level Launch of the Enhanced Integrated Framework (EIF) Phase Three, which Cambodia co-hosted alongside United Arab Emirates and the EIF Executive Secretariat. In the remarks, Her Excellency Minister expressed great honor in co-hosting the event and highly valued the EIF as a vital partnership that has supported LDCs in integrating into the global trading system. Her Excellency Minister also highlighted achievements that Cambodia has attained through strong support and collaboration with the EIF.
News(Yaoundé, Cameroon): On the morning of Wednesday, 25 March 2026, in Yaoundé, Cameroon, Her Excellency CHAM Nimul, Minister of Commerce and Head of Delegation for Cambodia, participated as a speaker in the Ministerial Side Event on Trade in Services for Development (TS4D), alongside other Ministers from Ghana, Jamaica, Rwanda, Ethiopia, and United Kingdom. During the event, Her Excellency Minister highly appreciated the contribution of the services trade to Cambodia’s economy and stressed on the potential of services trade in development for development, economic diversification, resilient and inclusive growth. Her Excellency Minister continued that Cambodia has been training workforce, especially in digital education, to be ready for leveraging services trade through utilizing the market access for service providers under regional and multilateral agreements.
