News(Geneva, Switzerland): On the afternoon of Monday, 20 April 2026, His Excellency SUON Prasith, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Cambodia to the WTO and other International Organizations (Economy & Trade) in Geneva, Switzerland, met with Ms. Aissatou Diallo, Executive Director of the Enhanced Integrated Framework (EIF) at the WTO. On that occasion, His Excellency Ambassador conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to Ms. Aissatou Diallo on her appointment as Executive Director of EIF. He also shared Cambodia’s perspectives on trade and development as a WTO Member, highlighting the country’s effective utilization of Aid for Trade support under the EIF, including Phase I and Phase II. His Excellency Ambassador expressed strong interest in the implementation of EIF Phase III, which was officially launched on the margins of the 14th WTO Ministerial Conference in Yaoundé, Cameroon. He emphasized Cambodia’s continued needs in addressing trade-related challenges and strengthening institutional and human capacity. In response, Ms. Executive Director warmly welcomed Cambodia’s interest and expressed her appreciation for the constructive engagement. She reaffirmed EIF’s commitment to working closely with Cambodia to support its full integration into the multilateral trading system and to advance its sustainable development objectives. It is worth noting that the EIF is a multilateral assistance program that focuses on providing technical and financial support to Least Developed Countries (LDCs), including Cambodia, to strengthen trade capacity and economic integration. The program promotes private sector development and deeper economic integration.
News(Phnom Penh): On the morning of Wednesday, 22 April 2026, at the Ministry of Commerce, Her Excellency CHAM Nimul, Minister of Commerce and Chairperson of the National Commission for Consumer Protection (NCCP), presided over the plenary meeting of the Commission to reviewed and monitored the progress of the NCCP. The session was attended by His Excellency Permanent Vice- Chair, Excellencies Vice-Chair, Member of the NCCP, and the NCCP Secretariat.
