The Meeting was convened under Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship 2025 with the aim of reviewing progress and discussing a number of key agendas of ASEAN economic integration. These included the Priority Economic Deliverables (PEDs) 2025, the Annual Priorities, the ASEAN Economic Community Blueprint 2025 Implementation and Strategic Plan 2026-2030, the status of signing and ratification of agreements under the ASEAN Economic Community framework, the progress of various ASEAN trade agreement negotiations, as well as internal ASEAN discussions in preparation for consultations with dialogue partners.

During this consultation, the ASEAN Economic Ministers (AEM) reviewed and shared their insights on the ASEAN Business Advisory Council’s legacy projects, priorities, and initiatives for 2025. They also considered the council’s recommendations, along with various collaborations with the ASEAN Business Advisory Council, to further strengthen the consultation mechanism with the private sector in support of ASEAN economic integration.
